Epara
Epara, which means “to cocoon oneself” in the Nigerian dialect of Ebira, is a brand created by Nigerian entrepreneur Ozohu Adoh. No stranger to dry, uneven skin, Adoh created Epara to cater to all the skin care issues faced by women of color, including dryness and discoloration caused by the sun, free radicals and air pollution.

Buttah Skin
Founded by model, actor and recording artist Dorion Renaud, Buttah Skin offers skin care products for all, with formulas designed specifically to tackle a range of issues in melanin-rich skin, such as dryness, discoloration, oiliness and blemishes.

My Emollient
My Emollient is a vitamin rich, organic and toxic-free skin care line founded by Jamaican-born, NYC-based Keeshagaye Whitter. Unable to find suitable products to ease the irritation of her eczema, she created her own brand, which offers products that are crafted with 7 natural ingredients that soothe eczema, dry and sensitive skin. My Emollient features a number of body butters, as well as a hydration set specifically for men.

JACQ’s
Created to offer clean, safe products to women of color, JACQ’s includes a number of science-backed skin care products that are green and effective. With a range of cleansers, toners, moisturizers and soap bars, this anti-oxidant rich brand was created specifically for women of color, by women of color.

Beauty Stat
Founded by renowned cosmetic chemist Ron Robinson, Beauty Stat is a skin care brand known for its science-driven products. At the heart of the line is Vitamin C in its purest form, celebrated for its ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fade dark spots, and protect the skin from free radical damage, and more.

H.I.M-istry Naturals
Founded by Darnell Henderson, H.I.M-istry Naturals was developed with men’s skin care needs in mind. Recognizing that daily shaving and skin care regimens go hand in hand, the brand offers products designed to combat acne, dryness, premature signs of aging and ingrown hairs. Shea Yaleen
